More plagiarism at University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN)

Further to discussions of the Chippy Shaik matter, one notes the following report of a different plagiarism matter at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN):

Professor Photini Kiepiela, a project director at the Doris Duke Medical Research Institute handed in her resignation letter on Thursday — the day before she was to have faced a disciplinary inquiry.

The scientific director of the institute, Professor Jerry Coovadia, confirmed that Kiepiela had admitted plagiarising “large chunks” of an article from the Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology for a paper she was asked to write by a colleague.
