NJ School Superintendant plagiarizes in speech given to National Honor Society students

Just when you think plagiarism issues can't get goofier (see IPBiz on May 31, 2007), something arises which seems to take even more of the cake. The New York Times on June 2 ran an AP story out of Ft. Lee New Jersey (where else?) about how the superintendant of schools, one Joanne Calabro, plagiarized a speech she gave to recent inductees into the National Honor Society.

The speech in Ft. Lee apparently borrowed heavily from something posted on about.com by one Melissa Kelly.
