Elizabeth Smart will be an ABC News contributor

The Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz broke the story that ABC is hiring Elizabeth Smart. An ABC spokesperson noted:

"She'll help our viewers better understand missing person stories from someone with the perspective to know what a family experiences when a loved one goes missing."

But of course Elizabeth Smart was not with her family when Elizabeth Smart was missing.
