More on Albritton suit on Cisco, patent troll tracker

MarketWatch reports:

Cisco has reacted forcefully to Albritton's suit, in which he claims that former company attorney Richard Frenkel questioned his ethics in a blog post. Albritton claims that post caused him to suffer from "embarrassment, humiliation, mental pain and anguish."

Frenkel had been publicly identified as the author of the "Patent Troll Tracker" blog in February, and shortly thereafter left Cisco. Another former Cisco employee sued by Albritton, public-relations manager John Noh, left the company in May.

It is interesting to note that the MarketWatch article mentions Frenkel and Noh, but says nothing about Mallun Yen, who was Frenkel's immediate superior.

As of 5 Nov. 08, wikipedia has Frenkel still at Cisco:

Richard "Rick" G. Frenkel [1] (born 1966 or 1967 [2]) is in-house intellectual property counsel and director of intellectual property at Cisco Systems. [3] [4] He was once the anonymous author of the Patent Troll Tracker blog, focusing on the subject of "patent trolls" [2] and "a must-read blog among top intellectual property litigators".

Mallun Yen is not mentioned in the wikipedia post. See
