More actions at UMDNJ under scrutiny

Further to earlier posts, the Newark Star-Ledger ran a headline on November 7, 2006: UMDNJ's payment to cardiologists probed.

It included the text: the university offered high paying faculty jobs to nearly 20 cardiologists in private practice in an effort aimed at boosting the number of cases in a surgery program that the state was threatening to shut down for poor performance.

Also on page 1:

an article about the Rutgers band prospering along with the football team (recall Vai Sikahema's Vai's View: Rutgers is Wrong)

an article noting that Donald Drakeman resigned as CEO of Medarex.
