J&J's Alza sues Wyeth in ED Tex over Effexor XR

In yet another suit in ED Texas's "rocket docket" for patent cases, Johnson & Johnson's Alza has sued Wyeth over Effexor XR depression medicine.

Wyeth spokeman Christopher Garland said the company had previously not disclosed the lawsuit "because we don't use that technology in any of our products on the market. So we feel the Alza patent is not relevant to Effexor XR, or to its manufacture or sale."
