Biofuels, New Jersey style

In 2013, Joseph Furando, of Caravan Trading Co., and Evelyn Katirina Pattison, of CIMA Green, were charged in a biofuel scam. One can find references to them as two executives with a pair of related New Jersey-based companies.

The back story is of interest.

Formerly a live-in nanny for Furando, Pattison, prosecutors said, began a sexual relationship with him when she was 16 and Furando was 36. In 2007, he "handcuffed Pattison's arms behind her back, threw her on a bed and beat her with a plastic flip-flop, causing extensive bruising," prosecutors said in court papers. -
