CSI does ivf, dna profiling and antibodies on April 4, 2012

The techs at CSI were initially tricked by the identical DNA of four IVF brothers.

Typical multiple births from IVF multiples arise from multiple embryos, which do not give rise to identical or monozygotic twins.
Thus, the show, although giving a clever plot line, was NOT well-grounded in the facts of IVF as they existed. With high probability, the brothers would not have been identical.

Also, IVF of 20 years ago would not have involved separating a zygote, as envisioned in the CSI episode.

The villain of the piece, the youngest brother, was identified by antibody profiling.

Yes, Boys from Brazil and Gregory Peck were mentioned.
