DuPont retiree charged under Economic Espionage Act

Tze Chao worked for DuPont for 36 years as a chemical engineer, kept documents detailing trade secrets about titanium dioxide after his 2002 retirement, and has now had pleaded guilty to relaying these secrets to Pangang Group Co., which is state-owned by the Chinese government. Chao is charged under the Economic Espionage Act [EEA].

Mr. Chao noted that Pangang hired him to review designs for a titanium factory in 2009.
