No IP concerns in the undergraduate pipeline?

A post at Chronicle titled End-of-Term Conundrums, Part 1: Plagiarism emphasizes the intellectual property aspects of plagiarism-->

students currently in the undergraduate pipeline either understand intellectual property imperfectly or they simply don’t care about it.

IPBiz suspects that students need not understand intellectual property concepts such as copyright infringement in order to learn that copying without attribution is wrong. In a "cut and paste" world, it may be that "simply don't think it's wrong" is closer to point.
