--[T]he Court is persuaded that [plaintiff's] approach is correct and holds that the [patent-in-suit] was issued just after 12:00 a.m. EDT --

Within a district court decision one finds the text [T]he Court is persuaded that [plaintiff's] approach is correct and holds that the [patent-in-suit] was issued just after 12:00 a.m. EDT

One notes the existence of Aaron R. Feigelson's blog 12:01 Tuesday . Could one cite a blog name as authority?

Refer to Patent Infringement Blog for the case in question.

With all due respect to Aaron, the the day starts at 12:00:00 ... This is why we refer to 11:59 PM and 12:00 AM. (And may also explain why 24 hour time notation goes from 23 hundred hours to 0 hundred hours).

12:30 PM
