CSI (Las Vegas) on 4 Nov 2010 featured "identity theft" with one of the villains running an "identity theft" protection agency using an identity he himself had stolen. Identities were being sold, with a good show line being "nothing that happens in Nigeria stays in Nigeria." Customers who thought industrial secrets were being shredded also got surprises. Lots of one-liners, including “Dead before shred”.

The Mentalist had a subplot on industrial espionage.
