Deer kills dog in Hunterdon County, NJ

From the Hunterdon County Democrat/nj.com:

Police were dispatched to a wooded area off Grayrock Road around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday [3 Nov 2010] on the report of someone screaming for help. When Patrolman Harry Bugal arrived, he met with the boy, who lives nearby. The boy, who was upset and crying, told Bugal he was walking his dog, Mongo, when a “large buck” approached the two, attacked the dog and threw it in the river. Mongo managed to get out of the river; when Bugal arrived, he found it lying on its right side and it was “severely injured,” according to police. The dog later died.
