Suit filed over Posner's copying; inadvertence invoked!

In an article titled Gerald Posner sued over alleged "Miami Babylon" plagiarism, the New York Post discusses a copyright infringement case filed in SD NY against Posner and his publisher.

Within, the "inadvertent plagiarism" theme of Glenn Poshard is found:

Posner didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, but a Simon & Schuster spokesman said Posner has apologized to Owen because "in some instances he inadvertently used phrases" from Owen's book that "will be corrected in any future printings."

Much earlier, Posner had gained fame for a book on the Kennedy assassination, which was accompanied by some hardball advertising which led to Lanham Act cases.

In a post Superplagiarist Gerald Posner Sued by Plagiarism Victim, Gawker includes portions of the complaint.
