CBS Sunday Morning on 22 August 2010 recycles 23 May 2010 episode

CBS Sunday Morning on August 22, with Charles Osgood at San Simeon, went through homes, refrigerators, and Thonet chairs (industrial design is so good it's lasting).

Think back to CBS Sunday Morning on May 23, 2010. "CBS Sunday Morning" does innovation. This was the annual "CBS Sunday Morning" special on architecture and interior design. As described in May 2010:

CBS News' "Sunday Morning" is heading west - to San Simeon, Calif., where Charles Osgood will anchor from the enchanting Hearst Castle for the program’s 2010 edition of "By Design."

The broadcast will highlight the architectural and interior design of the estate, which was designed by media magnate William Randolph Hearst and his architect, Julia Morgan. Now a California state park, Hearst Castle sits on 126 of the original 250,000 acres, perched high above the Pacific coastline.

This was the episode that included Rita Braver's piece on cufflinks, featuring those of her husband. There were Casey Stengel (Yankees 1957 cufflinks) and roulette wheel cufflinks.

There was a piece on the Taj Mahal, in Agra, which was the capital of the Mogul Empire.

There was a piece on hair stylist Frederic Fekkai, who actually went to law school. He commutes into New York City via helicopter. The cut is $750.

Richard Schlesinger goes to a casket factory and to the National Funeral Museum in Houston.
