Houston patent legend Tom Arnold dies at 85

The Houston Chronicle noted the passing of Tom Arnold at age 85. Included in the text:

“He was literally the president of every association even remotely associated with patents, trademarks and copyrights,” John Lynch said. “If there was a seminar somewhere, Tom was on the podium. He was the first person I know to utilize law-firm marketing as an affirmative tool.”

“Tom was a believer in hard work and he encouraged us,” Lynch said. “He said you should have the statutes you are dealing with around the house so that you can decide to read some law instead of reading a novel.”
