CollegeOTR misleads on Taleyarkhan
Paul Tassi (OTR Editor) ran a story on "bubble fusion" under the headline: Purdue Scientist Caught Forging Soundwave Energy Research.
The Purdue folks found Taleyarkhan involved in the corroborative research AND guilty of having a gratuitous co-author. If academics were routinely strong up for those two offenses, we would run out of lampposts.
There's now some talk that the "affidavit" of the gratuitious co-author relied upon by Purdue was not properly done. More grist for a possible lawsuit, faster than one can say San Filippo. Rutgers did no better on that one than they did against Fresno State.
