Plagiarism at the New York Times

Related to the Spitzer mess, the New York Times plagiarized from Manhattan Media.

Spitzer attended Princeton University for his undergraduate studies and Harvard University for law school. Spitzer was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. [Wikipedia]

A comment about the Shafer plagiarism accusation appeared at the Kansas City Star:

When a Star staff story incorporates wire content, a tagline at the end will say "Wire Service X contributed to this report." That's a better solution than requiring a reporter to find a way of repeating information, which is often worded very specifically for a reason, in his or her own words just for the sake of not copying another's work.

IPBiz notes that sometimes it's important to know "what" has been copied.
