IP issues in work by Dana Priest on secret prisons?

The controversy over Priest's story has taken a new turn with the publication of an explosive new book, Shadow Warriors, which says that Grey "did all the spadework" and quotes him as saying that his original research "was kind of like a trade secret."
Stephen Grey's "America's Gulag" article in the May 17, 2004, issue of the British magazine the New Statesman appeared about 18 months before Priest's "CIA Holds Terror Suspects in Secret Prisons" was featured in the Post on November 2, 2005.
