Diagnostic tests

In the realm of diesel soot, the journal Chemical Research in Toxicology reports a new methodolgy to seek metabolites of 1-nitropyrene developed by Christopher Simpson (UWash Seattle) and co-workers at Kanazawa University.

Of a different diagnostic test, Science discusses a different assay, ISET (isolation by size of epithelial tumor cells) discussed by Patrizia Paterlini in the American Journal of Pathology. The company Metagenex (now managed by David Znaty) is involved. There's an interesting patent angle here.
