Hatch-Waxman suit filed over Depakote
The East Bay Business Times reported:
Abbott Laboratories is suing Impax Laboratories Inc., alleging it infringed on a patent for the for the bipolar disorder and epilepsy medicine Depakote when filing an application to make a generic version of the drug.
Hayward, CA-based Impax announced the suit Tuesday [June 19, 2007], saying it believes its product either does not infringe Abbott's patents or that the listed patents are invalid.
