FTC on antitrust issues against Rambus

Reuters noted on Feb. 5: The Federal Trade Commission voted to impose limits on the royalties that Rambus can collect from some key patents as a remedy for antitrust violations committed by the company. But the FTC stopped short of an order sought by the agency's staff that would have required royalty-free licensing of all the Rambus patents at issue in the case, including the latest, most widely used chip technology.
